Making a Classic French Boule


Easy to make and will satisfy any and all cravings for a great, crusty artisan bread. It is wonderful with soup, sandwiches, or plain with a nice pat of butter.

You could make this bread and no other, for the rest of your baking career, and never feel lesser for it.

  Chef Heidi Hammer with Wild Crow Pies is your instructor and will provide each participant with a dough that is ready to cook.

  Bake one loaf to take home, and also take home your newly made dough to rise and bake later.


  Each person needs to bring their 6 quart or larger Dutch oven

The Learning Lab is comprised of The Wood Shop, The Kitchen,

and The Garden/Greenhouse and located in the new South Whidbey Community Center

(old Middle School) and just behind WICA
